FIGURATIVE consists of work executed since I moved to St Ives in 2013. The collection consists of figurative and life paintings including a number of quick life paintings, mainly in Acrylic, executed in life classes at the St Ives School of Painting. I like the immediacy of these paintings, they are energetic and not laboured. It's surprsing how much can be done in a sitting of only 10 to 20 minutes. These images may later be worked into larger scale figurative works. Also included are paintings of multiple images in an abstract form, each painted in a single life session over about 2 hours - great fun to do! All these works can be viewed in the Portfolio tab.
